Understanding Screen Resolution in Android

Droid Greetings, as we know now that the resolution of the screen on the phone is very diverse, especially in the mobile phone/tablet android. Usually referred to as VGA screen resolution VGA (Video Graphics Array) is a kind of graphic resolution video available on the screen/display a gadget/hardware. Actually there are many kinds of VGA. But here I share a few are widely used for the resolution of the Android Smartphone.

Resolution in Android

Following Type-species:

1. QVGA (Quarter VGA) 240×320 Pixel Resolution

Typically used for video recording the lowest resolution (15-30 fps) there is also the use of graphic rendering Andreno.

Typically uses Nvidia Tegra graphics rendering, Mali, Adreno and Nvidia

4. FWVGA (Full Wide VGA) 480×854 Pixel Resolution

Typically using Mali graphics rendering and Adreno

5. DVGA (Double-size VGA) 960×640 Pixel Resolution

Typically uses Nvidia graphics rendering, Mali and Adreno

6. WSVGA (Wide Super VGA) Resolution

Pixel 1024×576/600

Typically uses Nvidia graphics rendering, Mali and Tegra

Examples of tablet taking WSVGA:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
